A military order to cease firing; a suspension of active hostilities.  A halt in fighting a battle or war by both sides in the conflict.

発砲(はっぽう)をやめるようにとの軍事(ぐんじ)命令(めいれい)。活発(かっぱつ)な敵対(てきたい)行為(こうい)の停止(ていし)。紛争(ふんそう)における双方(そうほう)による戦闘(せんとう)または戦争(せんそう)での戦(たたか)いの停止(ていし)。
