Having special and usually practical knowledge especially of a mechanical or scientific subject.  Often used to describe topics that relate to the operation of computers and other large systems, or the programming of computer systems and networks.  
特(とく)に機械(きかい)的(てき)または科学(かがく)的(てき)主題(しゅだい)に関(かん)する特別(とくべつ)で通常(つうじょう)は実践(じっせん)的(てき)な知識(ちしき)を持(も)っている。多(おお)くの場合(ばあい)、コンピューターやその他(た)の大(だい)規模(きぼ)システムの操作(そうさ)、またはコンピューターシステムやネットワークのプログラミングに関連(かんれん)するトピックを説明(せつめい)するために使用(しよう)されます。
